VARESE

It is the town lake, though its location is not in the town center but at a short distance! Thanks to its odd shoe‐shape, from its shores, you can admire the beauty of Varese and of the surrounding area and seize its contrasts. Small and busy villages, where you can discover interesting monuments to reconstruct the past human settlement, alternate with a silent, unspoilt and luxuriant greenery, in which thick woods are ousted by striking marshlands. Sport is its favorite fellow: a 28 kms' track gives you the opportunity to practise open‐air activities and to cover the surrounding area, which sees the near Lake of Comabbio "handcuffed" by another tract of cycle‐pedestrian track.
