VERONA
Verona had already been a Roman colony since I BC and became a Roman municipium in 49 B.C.. In XII century, the Free City was founded and its aspect began to change embellished with new civil and religious buildings. After the Scaligeri Family Verona was joined to the Republic of Venice, until 1796. The Arena is the symbol of the city, located in the beautiful Piazza Bra, the core of an opera season of great importance. Among other monuments, "Casa di Giulietta" is the most famous with its balcony, described by Shakespeare in his famous tragedy "Romeo and Juliet", which makes this city, known to produce tasty Pandoro cake, Soave wine, a romantic destination.
