After a briefing, you will cycle along the western shore of Lake Maggiore, on through the Toce River valley, along not very busy roads and comfortable cycle paths, reaching the ancient Candoglia quarries, from which the precious white marble used for the construction of the Milan Cathedral.

Swimming In A Lake Forbidden To Motorboats
Reaching Mergozzo, an enchanting sheet of water set among the first pre-Alps, you will have the chance to bath in one of the 5 cleanest lakes in Italy, with transparent water, before tackling the second part of your route which will lead you back to Feriolo through the Fondotoce Nature Reserve.
